The appeal has raised just over £100,000, so we are half-way to our total. It has taken just six weeks to do so, which shows how generous many people have been.
The campaign has attracted widespread interest and support, and not just from Colchester. Read the campaign’s Facebook page and you’ll see that people in many other countries are showing their support.
This is a wonderful achievement for a volunteer-run campaign, and shows what people can achieve if they see a need.
Thank you to everyone who has given or helped in some way. There is more to come of course as we try to raise the same sum again in roughly the same time period.
